Scanning Various Media

How you scan various media depends on how the final product will be used. For example, images used on video screens or monitors will be scanned at a much lower resolution than those images intended for printing purposes. This is because no matter how high the resolution, a monitor or video screen is only capable of outputting a certain degree of clarity. On the otherhand, printing requires a high resolution so that images remain crisp on paper.
